Mid-Career Option Credit
The SPEA Graduate Admissions Committee may grant a maximum of 12 credit hours towards the MHA degree for students who have had significant health administration work experience and a maximum of 12 credit hours towards the MPA degree for students who have significant policy level work experience.

Credit for Service
The School of Public and Environmental Affairs commends individuals who improve the quality of life for citizens in Indiana, the nation, and the world through their service to AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, VISTA, City Year, Teach for America, or Aftercare for Indiana through Mentoring (AIM).
In recognition of this service, SPEA may grant up to a maximum of six (6) credit hours toward the Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree - three (3) credit hours to be awarded for each year of service, unless credit was received for undergraduate work.
