Civic Leadership Program
Are you a student who:
- has an interest in politics or law,
- likes political science and history,
- wants to work for a government agency or nonprofit/volunteer organization,
- is a civic activist, and/or
- wants to make a difference in the community?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above statements, the civic leadership major is a good option for you.
The Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs degree will give you the foundation for a leadership role in a variety of fields within the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. You will be trained to manage staff and financial resources, to process and distribute information, and to utilize multiple and ever-changing technologies.
At IUPUI we will prepare you for a career in civic leadership by immersing and challenging you in courses in political science, government finance and budgets, law and public policy, human resource management, leadership and ethics, organization of government, nonprofit and private organizations, and information technology management.
